ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is evaluating a web-based application called Preanestes@s, which is designed to help assess patients before they undergo day surgery. The goal is to see if using this app leads to better preoperative evaluations compared to the traditional method of having a face-to-face interview with a healthcare provider. This study is important because having a thorough preoperative assessment can help ensure that patients are safe and well-prepared for their surgery.

To participate in this trial, you should be between 65 and 74 years old and scheduled for day surgery at the Hospital Duques del Infantado, particularly in specialties like ear, nose, and throat (ENT), general surgery, or orthopedics. Unfortunately, patients needing urgent surgeries or those who cannot understand the consent process cannot participate. If you join the study, you will use the Preanestes@s app to provide your health information before your surgery, and your experience will help researchers understand if this method is effective.
