ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how lockdown measures during the COVID-19 pandemic affected older adults with conditions like dementia, cognitive impairment, depression, anxiety, and loneliness. Researchers want to understand how these measures impacted their health and well-being. To do this, they will look at data from two large health studies in Norway and gather information through surveys about social isolation and the use of technology to communicate from March 2020 to January 2021. The goal is to find ways to improve how healthcare systems respond to future pandemics, aiming to lessen the negative effects on older adults.
If you live in the designated areas and are an older adult, you may be eligible to participate in this study. There are no specific exclusion criteria, so many individuals can join. Participants can expect to share their experiences during the pandemic and help researchers understand the challenges faced by people with cognitive issues. This information will be valuable in making sure that similar situations are handled better in the future.
