ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how different sleep durations—short (6 hours or less), average (7-8 hours), and long (9 hours or more)—affect heart health, physical activity, and sleep quality. Researchers want to find out if getting too little or too much sleep has any impact on these important health areas. For those who join the study, there’s also an optional part where participants can try to sleep for 8 hours each night for one week to see how it affects their health.

To be eligible for this trial, you need to be between 25 and 65 years old, whether you're lean or overweight. You shouldn’t have any serious medical conditions or be taking any medications. This study is looking for non-smokers who are generally healthy. However, if you have certain health issues, a history of severe mental illness, or have recently worked night shifts or traveled across time zones, you won't be able to participate. If you qualify and decide to take part, you’ll complete some questionnaires about your health and sleep habits, and then help researchers learn more about the connection between sleep and heart health.
