ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding the causes of problems that can occur after a lung transplant, which is when a person receives a new lung from a donor. The goal is to find out how to better diagnose and predict issues like lung transplant rejection and failure. Currently, lung transplants have a shorter average survival time compared to other organ transplants, and identifying problems early can help improve outcomes for patients. The researchers will collect samples from participants and analyze them to learn more about the different ways lung transplants can fail, which is crucial for improving patient care.
To be eligible for this trial, you must be at least 15 years old and either need a lung transplant or be under follow-up care after having one at Foch Hospital. You also need to agree to participate and have a health insurance plan. Unfortunately, pregnant women, those with very low hemoglobin (a blood component), and individuals unable to give consent due to legal or health reasons cannot participate. If you join, you can expect to provide samples and help researchers gather important information that could improve lung transplant care for future patients.
