ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how ultrasound can help doctors determine the severity of lateral ankle sprains, which are common injuries often underestimated in their seriousness. A sprained ankle can lead to ongoing problems if not diagnosed correctly or treated properly. The goal of the trial is to improve the way these injuries are assessed and ensure that patients receive the right care to prevent long-term issues.
The trial is currently looking for participants aged between 18 and 65 who have experienced their first ankle sprain, particularly if it has affected their ability to work or play sports. Unfortunately, individuals with previous ankle sprains, fractures, dislocations, or certain joint conditions cannot participate. If you join the trial, you can expect to undergo ultrasound examinations to evaluate your injury, and this information could help improve future treatments for ankle sprains. Your involvement could contribute to better understanding and management of this common injury.
