ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Longitudinal Impact of Stressors in Adults With Tourette Syndrome," is looking to understand how stress throughout life affects adults with Tourette Syndrome (TS). Over two years, researchers will study how different stressors influence the severity of tics (the involuntary movements or sounds associated with TS), mental health issues that often occur alongside TS, and overall quality of life for those affected.
To participate, individuals must be over 18 years old and have a diagnosis of Tourette Syndrome or related tic disorders. They should be able to give informed consent and speak English. However, those with serious medical or mental health conditions, like uncontrolled epilepsy or schizophrenia, cannot take part in the study. Participants can expect to be part of assessments that track their experiences and challenges over time, which could help improve understanding and treatment for Tourette Syndrome in the future.
