ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how well oxygen therapy works during sedation in children. Specifically, researchers want to find out if giving oxygen through regular nasal prongs or a high flow nasal cannula (a device that delivers oxygen through the nose) is safe and effective for pediatric patients who need moderate to deep sedation for medical procedures. The goal is to ensure that children receive the best care possible while they are sedated.
To participate in this study, children must be under 18 years old and require sedation. However, there are certain conditions that would prevent a child from joining, such as having serious breathing problems or recent nosebleeds. If a child is eligible and chooses to participate, they can expect to receive either regular oxygen or high flow oxygen during their sedation process, and their safety and comfort will be closely monitored throughout the trial. This study is currently looking for participants, so it’s a great opportunity to help improve pediatric sedation practices.
