ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the experiences of people who use upper limb prostheses after losing a limb, whether due to injury or amputation. The researchers want to learn about the factors that influence how well people adapt to using a prosthesis and how they feel about their outcomes. They will gather information through interviews and surveys with participants to create a model that helps understand the psychological and social aspects of using prosthetic devices. The goal is to develop a helpful tool that can match individuals with the right prosthesis based on their needs and circumstances.
To participate, you need to be at least 18 years old and have lost one arm (above or below the elbow) for at least six months. You should also currently be using a prosthetic device that you’ve had for at least six months. If you choose to join the study, you can expect to share your experiences in interviews and possibly in focus groups. This research aims to improve how prosthetic devices are matched to users and ultimately enhance the quality of life for those with upper limb loss.
