ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a short mindfulness program designed to help caregivers who take care of frail older adults. The program aims to reduce stress and burnout among caregivers, making it easier for them to provide support to their loved ones. If you're an adult child or child-in-law caring for an older person who is assessed to be moderately frail or worse, and you feel overwhelmed by your caregiving responsibilities, you might be eligible to participate in this study.
To take part, you need to meet some specific criteria: you should be caring for an elderly person with a certain level of frailty and be experiencing a significant amount of stress, as measured by a standard questionnaire. However, spouses, siblings, or friends of the older adults cannot join, nor can those caring for individuals with severe dementia. If you decide to participate, you will learn mindfulness techniques that can help you manage stress and improve your well-being while providing care. This trial is currently recruiting participants, so it's a good opportunity to find support while helping researchers understand how mindfulness can benefit caregivers.
