ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at ways to prevent painful dental abscesses in children with a condition called X-linked hypophosphatemia (XLH), which affects how their bodies handle phosphate and can lead to dental issues. The study will compare two treatments: one side of the child's mouth will receive a special adhesive system combined with a flowable composite material, while the other side will be treated with a fluoride varnish. Both treatments will be applied every six months for up to two years during scheduled visits.

To be eligible for this trial, children must have been diagnosed with XLH and have at least two healthy areas in their mouth without any signs of tooth problems like abscesses or cavities. Certain children may not be able to participate if they have recently taken antibiotics, have specific health conditions, or have mental disabilities. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to find effective ways to protect the dental health of children with XLH and could lead to better care options in the future.
