ClinConnect Summary

The Polish Multicenter PERTs PE Outcomes Registry is a study aimed at understanding how patients with pulmonary embolism (PE) and acute cor pulmonale are treated in Poland. Pulmonary embolism is a serious condition where a blood clot blocks blood vessels in the lungs, and it is a leading cause of heart-related deaths. This study will look at the practices and outcomes of patients who receive care from specialized Pulmonary Embolism Response Teams (PERTs) across various hospitals in Poland.

To be eligible for this trial, participants must have a confirmed diagnosis of PE through a specific type of imaging test called a computed tomography pulmonary angiography and have experienced symptoms for no longer than 14 days. The study focuses on patients who are at high risk due to serious complications, like low blood pressure or heart issues, or those who have certain heart problems related to PE. Participants will help researchers gather important information about how well current treatments are working, and they will be part of a collaborative effort to improve care for future patients. If you or a loved one is considering joining the study, you will need to agree to participate by signing an informed consent form.
