ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Implementing Outcome Measures in Stroke Rehabilitation," is focused on improving how healthcare providers measure the recovery of stroke patients, particularly their ability to use their arms. The researchers want to test new strategies to encourage therapists to use two specific tests—the Fugl-Meyer Assessment and the Action Research Arm Test—during rehabilitation. The goal is to see if these strategies help more therapists adopt these important measures in their practice, leading to better care for stroke survivors across the country.
To participate in this study, you need to be an occupational therapist licensed in Ohio, or an administrator who supervises therapists at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC). Participants will help gather information through surveys and discussions about the use of these outcome measures. This study is currently recruiting, and it aims to understand what works best in encouraging the use of these assessments, which could ultimately enhance stroke rehabilitation practices everywhere.
