ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new approach to anesthesia for patients undergoing elective open surgery to repair an abdominal aortic aneurysm, which is a serious condition affecting the blood vessels. The trial aims to see if using an opioid-free anesthesia strategy can reduce the body’s stress response to surgery and improve recovery outcomes compared to traditional methods that use opioids. Participants in this study will receive a combination of different medications that work in various ways to manage pain and reduce inflammation during and after the surgery.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be between 40 and 85 years old, and they must be scheduled for elective surgery to repair an abdominal aortic aneurysm. However, individuals with certain health conditions, such as active infections, cancer, or those who are immunocompromised, cannot participate. If you decide to take part in this study, you can expect to receive careful monitoring and support throughout the surgical process, with the hope of experiencing less pain and a quicker recovery.
