ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at the safety of a new device called the iZephyr hood, which is designed to help remove aerosols while patients receive non-invasive ventilation (a method to help people breathe without needing a breathing tube) during treatment for COVID-19. The study is important because it aims to ensure that this device is safe for use in patients who are experiencing breathing difficulties due to COVID-19.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be adults between the ages of 65 and 74 who are either COVID-19 positive or negative and need non-invasive ventilation. Unfortunately, younger patients under 18 years old or those who cannot provide consent will not be included. If eligible, participants can expect to be monitored closely while using the iZephyr hood to ensure their safety and effectiveness during their treatment. Please note that this trial is not yet recruiting participants, so it will be a little while before enrollment begins.
