ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying different methods to treat overactive bladder in women, a condition that causes frequent and urgent need to urinate, which can greatly affect daily life. The trial compares three treatment options: a technique called parasacral transcutaneous electrical stimulation, tibial transcutaneous electrical stimulation, and a home-based treatment protocol. Women aged 18 to 65 who experience symptoms of overactive bladder may be eligible to participate, but those with certain medical conditions or difficulties understanding the study will not be included.

Participants in the trial will receive guidance on behavioral therapy and will be given an educational booklet. They will undergo treatments three times a week for about 10 weeks, using a device that sends gentle electrical signals to help improve bladder control. Throughout the study, participants will answer questions about their symptoms, quality of life, and mental health, and they'll be followed for at least a year to assess the long-term effects of the treatments. The hope is that the parasacral stimulation will be more effective in reducing symptoms compared to the tibial stimulation.
