ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of a medication called tranexamic acid in patients with sepsis, a serious condition caused by infections that can lead to widespread inflammation in the body. The goal is to see if tranexamic acid can help manage this inflammation and improve outcomes for patients. The study is currently looking for participants aged 18 to 65 who have been diagnosed with sepsis and require admission to an intensive care unit (ICU).
To participate, individuals need to be generally healthy with mild to moderate medical conditions and must meet specific criteria, such as not having severe kidney or liver problems, bleeding disorders, or certain other health issues. If eligible, participants will receive treatment and be monitored closely by the medical team throughout the trial. This research could provide valuable insights into new ways to treat sepsis and improve patient care.
