ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "REstoring Mental Health After SARS-CoV-2 Through commUnity-based Psychological Services in New York City," aims to help improve the mental health of people, especially those from minority and vulnerable groups, who have been more affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The researchers want to see how mental health services can support individuals in taking preventative actions against the virus, such as getting vaccinated and accessing healthcare safely. By gathering this information, they hope to enhance mental health services to better serve these communities.
To participate in this study, individuals should be aged 65 or older and have a certain level of psychological distress, as measured by a simple questionnaire. However, those who are in immediate danger of harming themselves or who do not have significant mental health struggles will not be eligible. Participants can expect to receive community-based mental health support and contribute to important research that aims to improve public health strategies for mental wellness, particularly among underserved populations.
