ClinConnect Summary

The Functional Digestive Disorders Observatory is a clinical trial aimed at understanding common digestive issues like Irritable Bowel Syndrome, dyspepsia (indigestion), functional constipation, and fecal incontinence. These conditions affect a significant number of people—about 20% of the general population—and often lead to visits to gastroenterologists. The study will gather information and samples from patients as part of their regular medical care. This data could help identify important markers that might predict how well patients respond to treatments.

To participate in this trial, individuals need to be over 18 years old and have been experiencing a functional digestive disorder for at least three months. They should be receiving routine care and be registered with Social Security. Participants will have the opportunity to contribute to valuable research that aims to improve understanding and treatment of these conditions. It’s important to note that individuals who are unable to understand or complete questionnaires, or who are under legal protections, will not be eligible for this study.
