ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is testing a new program designed to help people with Type 2 Diabetes who also have a permanent physical disability. The program uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to provide personalized coaching that focuses on lifestyle changes to better manage diabetes and improve blood sugar levels. The goal is to make the program accessible and supportive for people with disabilities, helping them and their families work together to manage their health.
To take part in this study, participants need to have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and live with a permanent physical disability, like a spinal cord injury or multiple sclerosis. They should also be able to read and speak English. However, if someone is currently involved in another diabetes program, has severe untreated depression, or has certain health issues like uncontrolled blood pressure or heart problems, they won't be eligible. Participants will use their smartphones to engage with the program and can expect support tailored to their individual needs. This trial is currently looking for volunteers to join, so if you or someone you know fits the criteria, it could be a great opportunity to receive additional support for managing diabetes.
