ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding stuttering and how individuals who stutter process and produce speech. Researchers are looking for both children and adults to participate in this study, which includes completing various computer and speech tasks over up to two visits. The goal is to gain insights that could help improve treatments or support for those who stutter.
To be eligible, participants must be between the ages of 6 and 65 and speak English as their primary language. Adults and children who currently stutter can join, but those who have had speech therapy in the past year or a significant medical or psychiatric condition cannot participate. Similarly, individuals who do not stutter can also take part if they meet certain criteria, such as having no personal or family history of stuttering. Overall, this research aims to provide a better understanding of stuttering to ultimately help those affected by it.
