ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how physical therapy can help improve the foot and ankle function in children and teenagers who have had cancer (excluding brain and spinal cord cancers). Many young cancer survivors experience problems like reduced flexibility and strength, which can affect their ability to walk and be active. This study aims to compare two groups: one group of children who received physical therapy during their cancer treatment and another group who did not. By measuring various aspects of foot and ankle function, the researchers hope to understand how physical therapy can benefit young survivors in the long run.

To participate in this study, children and adolescents aged 7 to 30 who completed their cancer treatment more than five years ago may be eligible. They must have had specific chemotherapy treatments that can affect their nerves and must speak English. Participants can expect to undergo tests that measure their foot and ankle strength, flexibility, and walking patterns. The goal is to gather important information that could help improve physical therapy practices for young cancer survivors, ultimately helping them lead more active and healthy lives.
