ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on using artificial intelligence (AI) to improve the detection and understanding of early gastrointestinal (GI) tumors, which are abnormal growths in the digestive system. The goal is to see how well AI can help doctors find these growths during routine procedures like gastroscopy (looking at the stomach) and colonoscopy (looking at the colon). This study is currently recruiting participants aged 18 and older who need these procedures to check for GI issues or as part of regular monitoring for known GI tumors.
To participate, individuals must be able to give informed consent and be undergoing a gastroscopy or colonoscopy. However, those with severe esophagitis (inflammation of the esophagus) or poor bowel preparation (which means the intestines were not properly cleaned out before the test) cannot join the study. Participants can expect to have their procedure as usual, with the added benefit of AI technology being used to enhance the detection of any potential abnormalities. This could lead to better outcomes in diagnosing and managing GI conditions.
