ClinConnect Summary
The iCARE trial is looking to find out if participating in cardiac rehabilitation at home, or a combination of home and clinic visits, is just as effective as traditional rehab done entirely in a clinic. This research is important for patients recovering from heart-related issues like heart attacks, heart failure, or certain heart surgeries. By comparing these different ways of receiving care, the study aims to improve recovery outcomes for patients.
To join this trial, participants should be aged between 65 and 74 and must have access to a smartphone or computer with the internet. They need to have an email address and a history of specific heart conditions or surgeries that require rehabilitation. If you qualify and take part, you can expect to engage in activities designed to help improve your heart health, either at home or in a clinic setting, while being supported by a case manager. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it’s a great opportunity to contribute to heart health research while focusing on your recovery.
