ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how complementary and integrative medicine (CIM) treatments, like acupuncture and touch therapies, can help cancer patients feel better during their treatment. Researchers want to see if these therapies can reduce symptoms and improve the overall quality of life for patients currently receiving cancer care. A total of 750 participants will be involved, and they will either choose their preferred therapy or be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments. Before and after the treatment, patients will complete surveys to measure how their symptoms and quality of life have changed.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be at least 18 years old and currently undergoing cancer treatment. They should also be able to understand the study and agree to participate fully. Throughout the trial, patients will attend eight weekly sessions of CIM treatments, and their experiences will be carefully monitored. This study not only aims to assess the effectiveness of these treatments but also looks at how safe they are and how they might impact the financial burden of cancer care.
