ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Stroke School," is looking to see how a 12-week program that combines physical exercise, patient education, and individual follow-up sessions can help people who have experienced a minor stroke or a transient ischemic attack (TIA). The goal is to encourage physical activity to reduce the risk of heart problems and improve recovery after these types of strokes.
To join the study, participants need to be at least 18 years old and should have had a minor stroke or TIA recently. They should not require rehabilitation and must be able to speak and read Danish. The trial is especially for those who have not been very physically active lately, spending five hours or less on high-intensity activities per week. However, people with serious heart conditions or other health issues that make exercise difficult, as well as those with certain cognitive impairments, will not be eligible. Participants can expect to engage in guided exercises, learn about stroke prevention, and receive individual support throughout the trial. This could be a great opportunity for those looking to improve their health after a stroke.
