ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a method called time-restricted feeding to understand how the timing and amount of protein in our diets might help with weight loss and obesity prevention. The researchers want to see if having specific times to eat can affect how our muscles use energy and how it influences our appetite in adults who are overweight or obese. By looking at these factors, they hope to find better ways to manage weight and improve overall health.
To take part in this study, participants need to be between 25 and 50 years old, live in Northwest Arkansas, and have a body mass index (BMI) over 25, which indicates being overweight. Certain health conditions or dietary restrictions could prevent someone from joining, such as being pregnant, having food allergies, or currently trying to lose weight. If eligible, participants can expect to follow a specific eating schedule while the researchers monitor how it affects their muscle mass and appetite. This trial aims to discover effective strategies for managing weight in a safe and supportive environment.
