ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new type of sensor called an Optically Pumped Magnetometer (OPM) that can measure the magnetic fields produced by brain activity. The goal is to see how well this new technology works compared to traditional methods in identifying where brain activity occurs. Researchers want to find out if the OPM can provide even more precise information about brain functions, which could help in understanding brain health.

To participate, you need to be a healthy adult aged 18 to 65 who has previously undergone a specific MRI scan. If you join the study, you will take part in sessions using both the traditional MEG machine and the new OPM device. During these sessions, small sensors will be placed on your head, and you will be asked to complete various tasks that involve your senses, like feeling puffs of air or seeing lights. The entire participation will take about a day, with the possibility of additional optional sessions over the next year. Remember, your safety is important, so if you have any metal in your body that could interfere with the scans, you may not be eligible.
