ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a type of infection called anorectal infection, which is often linked to sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Specifically, the researchers want to learn more about a germ called Mycoplasma genitalium (MG), which is becoming more common but is not well understood. By examining patients who visit the proctology center for suspected infections, the trial aims to identify risk factors and improve how these infections are diagnosed and treated.
To participate in the study, you need to be at least 18 years old, speak French, and have been treated at the proctology center for suspected anorectal infection. If you decide to take part, you will undergo a simple test where a swab will be taken from the anorectal area. Your involvement will help researchers gather important information that could lead to better prevention and treatment strategies for these infections in the future.
