ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on collecting important information from patients who are admitted to the Stroke unit at the University Hospital Ghent. The goal is to create a database that will help doctors understand and improve stroke care in the future. If you or a family member have had a stroke or a related condition and are admitted to the hospital, you may be eligible to participate. To join, you need to give your permission for the hospital to collect your medical information as part of your regular care, and this does not involve any extra tests or procedures.
Participants in this study can expect that their usual medical information will be gathered while they are in the hospital. This information will be used later to help researchers look back at how stroke care is provided and to track important aspects of care quality. It's important to note that if a patient cannot give consent themselves, they cannot be included in the study unless a legal representative provides consent. Overall, this trial aims to enhance the understanding of stroke treatment and improve patient care in the long run.
