ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how a condition called Thoracic Insufficiency Syndrome (TIS) affects breathing and lung growth in children. TIS is a complex issue where the chest wall doesn't develop properly, which can make it hard for kids to breathe and can lead to serious health problems. The researchers want to see if special MRI scans can help evaluate how well the lungs are working in these patients.
The trial is looking for boys and girls aged 6 to 18 who have been diagnosed with TIS and are planning to have surgery for their condition. If eligible, participants will undergo MRI scans and other assessments to help improve our understanding of how TIS impacts lung function. It's important to note that only children with a confirmed diagnosis of TIS can take part in this study. This research could lead to better ways to assess and treat TIS in the future.
