ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a type of surgery called robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) to see how it affects men with prostate cancer, specifically looking at urinary control and overall quality of life after the procedure. The trial is particularly interested in whether adding a technique called vesicopexy, which helps position the bladder correctly after surgery, can improve urinary control, which is a common issue for many men after this type of surgery.
Men aged 18 and older with localized prostate cancer who are planning to undergo RARP at the University of Southern California may be eligible to participate. To join, they need to be in good health, have not previously received certain treatments for prostate cancer, and must be able to understand the study and provide consent. Participants can expect to be closely monitored throughout the trial to assess how well they regain bladder control and how their quality of life changes following surgery. This trial aims to provide valuable information that could help improve recovery for men facing prostate cancer surgery.
