ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different types of exercise can help children and adolescents in China who are dealing with obesity or metabolic syndrome. Researchers want to find out which exercise patterns—like low intensity, moderate, or high intensity—are most effective at improving weight and other health factors related to metabolism. The trial will involve measuring changes in the participants' bodies using various methods, such as ultrasounds and analyzing blood and urine samples. The goal is to discover how exercise influences health and to develop the best exercise recommendations for young people facing these challenges.
To participate in this study, children and adolescents aged 9 to 18 who have been diagnosed with obesity or metabolic syndrome can join, as long as they can get permission from a guardian. It’s important that participants are able to understand the study and agree to take part. However, those with certain medical conditions, like Cushing syndrome or genetic obesity disorders, or those who have taken part in other studies recently, won’t be eligible. Participants can expect to be part of a supportive environment where their behavior and attitudes towards exercise will also be explored, helping to tailor effective exercise programs for their health needs.
