ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the use of two different breathing support methods, CPAP and BiPAP, to help reduce movement of tumors during radiotherapy for patients with certain types of cancer, including advanced lung cancer, esophageal cancer, and lymphoma. By controlling how patients breathe, the goal is to keep tumors more stable during treatment, which may help doctors deliver radiation more precisely and safely, reducing the dose to surrounding healthy tissues like the lungs and heart.

To participate in the trial, individuals should be at least 18 years old and diagnosed with stage III or IV lung cancer, esophageal cancer, or malignant lymphoma, and they must be able to fit a facial mask for breathing support. Participants will need to provide written consent and be in good enough health to tolerate treatment. Throughout the trial, patients can expect to receive either CPAP, which provides steady airflow, or BiPAP, which allows for more varied breathing patterns. The study aims to find out which method is more effective for patients with larger tumors, and it is currently open for enrollment.
