ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding normal walking patterns, or gait, using a special treadmill called the Gait Real-time Analysis Interactive Lab (GRAIL) at the university hospital in Ghent. The researchers want to collect data from healthy individuals to create a reference guide that can help identify walking problems in people with various health conditions. During the study, participants will walk at different speeds, and the researchers will measure things like their movements, forces, and muscle activity.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be healthy adults aged 22 to 73. However, individuals with neurological disorders, balance issues, certain medications that affect walking, previous surgeries on their legs, or current pain in their legs or back cannot participate. Those who join the trial can expect to walk on the treadmill while the researchers collect information about their gait, even when performing simple tasks like thinking or using their arms. This data will be valuable for future clinical studies and improving understanding of walking abnormalities.
