ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how plasma exchange (PLEX) treatments affect patients with certain immune-related conditions like antibody-mediated rejection, NMO spectrum disorder, TTP, and CIDP. Plasma exchange is a procedure that helps remove harmful substances from the blood, particularly antibodies that can cause problems in these diseases. The goal of the study is to collect and preserve blood samples from patients who are undergoing PLEX, so researchers can analyze changes in antibody levels and other immune factors during and after the treatment.
If you or a family member is receiving plasma exchange therapy, you may be eligible to participate in this study. Participants will be asked to provide consent shortly after being referred for treatment. The study will not change your treatment plan, and your insurance will still cover the plasma exchange procedures. By taking part, you will help researchers gather important information that could lead to better understanding and treatment of these immune conditions in the future.
