ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of two types of exercise programs—telerehabilitation (online) and face-to-face clinical Pilates—on individuals with axial spondyloarthritis, a type of arthritis that primarily affects the spine and can cause pain, stiffness, and fatigue. The goal is to see which method of exercise is more effective in improving patients' health, mood, and quality of life. To participate, individuals must be between 18 and 65 years old, have a diagnosis of axial spondyloarthritis, and have access to a smartphone or computer with the internet. They should also not have exercised regularly in the last three months.
Participants in the study can expect to follow a personalized exercise program for one hour, three times a week, over eight weeks. Researchers will evaluate their progress at the start, after the eight weeks, and again six months later. This trial aims to provide valuable insights into how different exercise formats can help manage the symptoms of axial spondyloarthritis, which could ultimately lead to better care for patients.
