ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how people with neuromuscular diseases (NMD) sit in their wheelchairs. The goal is to gather information about how sitting positions can affect comfort, pain, and the risk of pressure sores (which are injuries to the skin) for wheelchair users. By studying these aspects, the researchers hope to improve the quality of life for individuals with NMD.
To participate in this study, you need to be an adult or a child who uses a wheelchair and has a neuromuscular disease. If you are under 18, both you and your parents must agree to participate. Additionally, your guardians or caretakers must also provide consent if you are an adult under guardianship. Participants will be asked to provide information about their sitting posture and experiences with pain and pressure sores. This study is currently recruiting participants, so if you or someone you know fits these criteria and is interested, it could be a great opportunity to contribute to important research that may lead to better care for wheelchair users with NMD.
