ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of telerehabilitation, or online physical therapy, for individuals suffering from temporomandibular disorder (TMD). TMD can cause symptoms like pain, difficulty moving the jaw, and clicking sounds in the jaw joint. The goal of the study is to see how well this remote therapy helps reduce pain, improve jaw movement, and enhance overall well-being for those with TMD.
To participate, individuals must be between 18 and 60 years old and have experienced facial pain related to TMD in the last six months. Participants will be randomly assigned to either in-person therapy or telerehabilitation for 12 weeks. Throughout the study, their symptoms will be carefully assessed using questionnaires and pain scales. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to provide valuable insights into how online physical therapy can help those with TMD.
