ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new way to improve nutrition for individuals with dementia by using special snacks that change texture as they are eaten. These "transitional-state" snacks are designed to be tasty and familiar to people with dementia, helping them to get the nutrients they need to support their health and well-being. The main goal of the study is to see if these snacks are safe, accepted by participants, and if they can actually help improve nutrition for those living with dementia.

To participate in this trial, individuals must be between the ages of 65 to 74, live at home, and have a medical diagnosis of dementia or possible dementia. Participants will not be eligible if they require full feeding assistance, have certain food allergies, or do not have access to a smartphone. Those who join the study can expect to try these innovative snacks and share their experiences, helping researchers understand how they can better support the nutritional needs of people with dementia.
