ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how specific eye exercises can help patients who have experienced a concussion and are struggling with a condition called convergence insufficiency. This condition makes it difficult for the eyes to work together, leading to symptoms like headaches, blurred vision, double vision, and fatigue. The trial will involve 100 patients who have had their concussion symptoms for at least three months and have not had convergence insufficiency diagnosed before their concussion. Participants will either do the eye exercises or receive a placebo treatment, which does not involve actual exercises, to see if the exercises can help improve their vision problems.

To be eligible for this trial, patients must have had a concussion at least three months ago and experience convergence insufficiency. However, individuals who cannot complete the initial eye tests or have certain eye conditions will not be included. If you participate, you'll be helping researchers understand whether these targeted exercises can effectively reduce the long-term symptoms of concussion related to eye coordination. The results from this study may guide doctors in deciding if these exercises should be recommended as a treatment option for patients like you.
