ClinConnect Summary
The PUMCH Dementia Longitudinal Cohort Study is a research project looking at older adults in China who have various types of dementia, including Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia. This study aims to better understand how these conditions affect patients over time. If you or a loved one is between the ages of 65 and 74 and has been diagnosed with dementia based on specific medical guidelines, you may be eligible to participate. A key requirement is that participants must have a reliable caregiver to assist them and help with follow-ups.
If you join this study, you'll be part of a group that is regularly monitored and assessed by healthcare professionals. This means you'll have regular check-ups to track changes in your condition. It's important to note that those who do not have dementia, have severe health issues that might affect their ability to participate, or cannot provide informed consent are not eligible for this study. Your participation could contribute valuable information that helps improve care and treatment for people with dementia in the future.
