ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how using disinfectant gel, like hydrogen peroxide or chlorhexidine, inside dental implants can help reduce the risk of complications such as infections or implant failures. These issues can be especially important for soldiers who may face dental injuries in challenging environments. By cleaning the inside of dental implants, researchers hope to lower the amount of harmful bacteria and create a healthier balance of microorganisms, which could lead to better success rates for these implants.

To participate in this trial, you need to be an active duty military member between the ages of 18 and 55, and you should have at least six months left at your duty station. However, if you use tobacco, take certain medications that affect healing, or have specific health conditions, you may not be eligible. Participants will receive the disinfectant gel treatment and will be monitored to see how it affects their dental implants over time. This study is an opportunity to help improve dental care for military personnel and potentially benefit others facing similar dental challenges.
