ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new approach to help improve walking speed in patients who have recently experienced a stroke, also known as a cerebrovascular accident. Researchers want to see if using video feedback during rehabilitation can help patients walk better. In this study, some patients will receive standard rehabilitation therapy, while others will have the same therapy along with video sessions. During these sessions, patients will watch recordings of themselves walking and then discuss what they see, which may help them understand how to improve their walking.
To participate in this trial, patients must have had a stroke within the last six months and be able to walk at least 10 meters, either with or without walking aids, but without needing someone to hold them up. Unfortunately, those with severe cognitive issues, certain speech problems, or other specific conditions that might affect their ability to participate will not be eligible. By joining this study, participants can expect to receive personalized feedback on their walking, which may lead to better rehabilitation outcomes. The trial is currently recruiting participants of all ages and genders.
