ClinConnect Summary
The EBT Fruit and Vegetable Prescription trial, called "Eating Better Together," is a 6-month program designed to help families learn about healthy eating and staying active. This program specifically focuses on children aged 4 to 10 years old who are struggling with obesity. If your child has a body mass index (BMI) above the 85th percentile and you are a caregiver who can read and speak English, you may be eligible to join. Participants will receive fresh fruits and vegetables delivered to their homes, along with guidance on making healthier food choices and incorporating physical activity into their daily routines.
As part of the trial, families will work together to improve their eating habits and lifestyle. It's important to note that only families who visit the Cherokee Health Systems clinic in Cherokee Mills can participate. If you think this program could be a good fit for your family, consider enrolling and taking steps towards a healthier future together!
