ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new program designed to help people with very low vision, known as ultra low vision. The goal is to create a rehabilitation plan that uses multiple senses—like touch and sound—to support those with severe visual impairment. Many people with advanced eye diseases struggle to find effective rehabilitation options after their treatment. This trial aims to fill that gap and improve the quality of life for individuals who have lost a lot of their sight.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 12 years old and have a visual acuity of 20/1600 or worse, meaning you see very little. Unfortunately, if you rely on a sighted guide for mobility or have cognitive impairments, you won't be eligible to take part. If you join the study, you'll be involved in testing this new program, which could potentially enhance your daily living skills and overall well-being. The trial is currently looking for participants of all genders, and it’s a great opportunity to contribute to the development of better resources for those with low vision.
