ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying gastrointestinal diseases, which affect the lower part of the digestive system. Researchers at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) want to collect data and biological samples from adults who have known or suspected gastrointestinal disorders. This information will help them improve how these diseases are assessed and treated in the future.
To participate, you need to be at least 18 years old and have a gastrointestinal issue that requires screening or treatment, based on current medical guidelines. If you join the study, you will have a physical exam and your medical history will be reviewed. You’ll receive the same care you would at any doctor’s office, but in addition, you may be asked to provide samples of blood, urine, or stool. If you have certain procedures like an endoscopy or colonoscopy, you might also be asked to share any leftover samples. All collected data will be securely stored and coded to protect your privacy. The study is currently recruiting participants, so if you think you might be eligible, consider reaching out for more information.
