ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a program called "Together, We Inspire Smart Eating" (WISE) that aims to help improve the diets of young children in early care and education (ECE) settings. The program includes fun activities like hands-on experiences with fruits and vegetables, teachers acting as role models for healthy eating, positive feeding practices, and a friendly mascot to make healthy foods more appealing. The goal of the trial is to find the best ways to implement this program effectively, especially since past efforts have not always led to successful adoption of these healthy practices.
To participate in this trial, teachers at certain early care and education sites in regions of Arkansas and Louisiana are eligible if they serve at least 15 children aged 3 to 5 and agree to help with the implementation and data collection. Importantly, they should not already be using the WISE program. Participants can expect to be part of a supportive effort that includes different strategies to encourage healthy eating habits among young children. The researchers hope to find out which methods work best to improve children's nutrition and overall health.
