ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how different surgical treatments for bone and soft tissue sarcomas affect patients' everyday lives and their ability to move after surgery. Sarcomas are rare cancers that can occur in the bones or soft tissues, often requiring complex surgeries that can impact a person's appearance and movement. The research aims to understand the long-term quality of life and functional outcomes for patients who have had surgeries like amputation, endoprosthetic reconstruction, and rotationplasty, especially focusing on those who have undergone limb-saving surgeries.

To participate in this study, you need to be between 18 and 95 years old and have had surgery for bone or soft tissue sarcoma in your lower limbs at UZ Leuven at least a year ago. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and they are looking for individuals who can provide informed consent. If you join, you can expect to share your experience regarding mobility and quality of life after your surgery, helping researchers learn how to improve care and rehabilitation for future patients with similar conditions.
