ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new way to help people with Type I Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS I), a condition that causes severe pain and other uncomfortable symptoms in the arms or legs. The study aims to see if adding a non-invasive treatment, called neuromodulation, to standard care can improve pain relief compared to standard care alone. Participants will receive either the neuromodulation treatment or a placebo (a treatment that has no active ingredients) while continuing their regular care.
To join the trial, participants need to be between 18 and 65 years old and have been diagnosed with CRPS I within the past six months. It's important that they have not experienced CRPS in more than one limb or had previous surgery to treat their symptoms. The trial is currently recruiting volunteers, and those who participate can expect to receive either the active treatment or a placebo, along with the usual care for their condition. Additionally, everyone involved will need to sign an agreement that they understand the study and are willing to participate.
