ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the long-term effects of transplantation compared to standard care for patients with sickle cell disease, specifically looking at how these treatments affect blood flow in the brain. Researchers want to follow up with 67 patients who previously participated in a study about brain blood flow issues related to sickle cell disease. The goal is to gather more information on how these patients are doing years after their treatment.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be adults or minors who took part in a specific research protocol from 2010 to 2013 and understand the study information provided to them. Unfortunately, those who have passed away or choose not to participate cannot join. If eligible, participants can expect to share their health experiences and may contribute to important findings that could help other patients with sickle cell disease in the future.
